How should I prep my skin before my appointment?

The day of:

• Shower off all lotions, deodorant, perfume, and makeup minimum of 2hrs before your spray.

• Come with clean, dry skin - that's it!

The night before:

• Shower and exfoliate to remove any dead skin, oils, lotions, or products.

• Moisturizing is actually encouraged! Hydrated skin holds color better.

When should I shave or wax before my appointment?

For waxing: Schedule your wax at least 48 hours before your spray tan appointment. Your wax will outlast your tan anyway, so give your skin adequate time to heal before spraying.

For shaving: You can shave the day of your appointment as long as there's at least 4 hours between shaving and your tan. This gives your pores time to close and ensures even color absorption.

Bottom line: The more time you can give your skin between hair removal and tanning, the better your results will be.

What should I wear to my spray tan appointment?

Before & After: Wear dark, loose-fitting clothes you don't mind getting a little bronze on - think oversized t-shirt and comfortable bottoms. The solution doesn’t always transfer, but it's better to be safe than sorry with your favorite white outfit.

During: Whatever makes you comfortable. You can wear as little or as much as you prefer - underwear, swimsuit, or nothing at all. This is your appointment and your comfort level is what matters.

Can I go out in public right after my spray tan?

You'll have a bronzer on your skin that acts as a guide color, so you'll immediately look tanned. Some people love the immediate glow, others prefer to let it develop at home. If it's your first tan, I recommend planning some flexibility in your schedule so you can see how your skin reacts and what feels comfortable for you.

Post-Tan Questions

How long does a spray tan take to develop?

Your tan will continue developing for 6-8 hours after application. For best results, avoid showering, sweating, or getting wet during this time. I'll give you specific timing recommendations based on your tan and schedule.

When and how should I shower after my spray tan?

First rinse (6-8 hours after your tan):

• Keep it simple - just water and a quick rinse

• Avoid hot water, steam, and prolonged heat

• Skip scented soaps, exfoliants, and loofahs

• Pat yourself dry gently with a dark towel

• Do NOT apply lotion immediately after - let your skin breathe

Second shower (12-24 hours after your tan):

• Now you can proceed with your normal shower routine

• Use your regular products, shave if you'd like

• Moisturize generously after drying off

• Continue moisturizing daily to extend your tan

Will spray tan stain my clothes or sheets?

The bronzer may transfer slightly before your first rinse, but it washes out completely with regular detergent. I've never seen a spray tan stain that OxiClean couldn't handle (and I own white bedding, so trust me on this one). Just use dark towels and sheets the first night if you want to be extra cautious.

How long will my spray tan last?

Typically 5 days with proper care. Your tan will gradually fade as your skin naturally exfoliates. To extend it, moisturize daily (especially after showering), avoid long baths, and pat yourself dry instead of rubbing with a towel.

What if I have questions after my appointment?
